Dear Livio and Gilberto,
On behalf of all five of us, thank you so much for the wonderful day we spent together last week. It was a distinct pleasure to meet both of you and to learn about the mission of the organization Terre di Tartufi. We enjoyed the introduction to the truffle hunt with the spirited Mara, and then the hunt with Sergio, Fiona and Maria. It is very interesting to see the connection between the hunter and the dogs, and the dogs are very skilled. Of course, it was a treat to see Sergio perform on the drums!
The area in which the truffle hunt occurred was very beautiful, and your organization has performed excellent work and maintaining that beautiful land. We also loved the lunch at the Garibaldi restaurant with the local dishes and local characters. To top it off, the visit to the winery Marchesi Alfieri was just superb, and the history of the winery was so interesting.
Gilberto, thank you for the pictures, you are a professional photographer with a good eye for detail! If either of you ever plan to visit the United States, please let us know. Hope to see you again in Italy!
